WHAT IS THE YKK PHILOSOPHY “CYCLE OF GOODNESS”?
How do the YKK Philosophy and Management Principle work in practice?
The YKK Group keeps moving forward,
inspired by the passion we inherited from our founder.
HOW WAS THE YKK PHILOSOPHY “CYCLE OF GOODNESS” BORN?
The YKK Group has a way of thinking that forms the basis for everything we do on the job. It’s called the “Cycle of Goodness.” YKK’s founder, Tadao Yoshida, kept improving on the monozukuri concept, and finally, YKK zippers spread across the world. The source of all his energy was in the feeling that “no one prospers without rendering benefit to others,” which is expressed in the statement of our philosophy, “Cycle of Goodness.” This thinking became the basis for our business. And we retain this concept as the ongoing business philosophy of YKK.
CREATE NEW VALUE THROUGH INNOVATIVE IDEAS AND INVENTIONS, THEN SHARE THEM.
An enterprise is an important member of society, and as such, it must coexist with other elements of society. Its value will be measured by the benefits it shares with society. Behind the YKK Philosophy of “Cycle of Goodness” is the concept that “contributions to society can best be achieved by the continual creation of value through innovative ideas and inventions. The resulting business expansion will bring prosperity to consumers and business partners, thus benefiting all society.” As our business expands into society, into the world, new challenges will arise one after another.
