WHAT KIND OF ORGANIZATION IS THE YKK GROUP?
Personnel systems enhance employee strengths.
At YKK, age or formal education or gender are irrelevant; it’s capability and desire that count in the jobs our people have been assigned to do. We work hard to foster a system and work environment in which we all have ample opportunity to make the most of our capabilities.
Our personnel system is based on the Personnel Philosophy “One for all, all for one” and follows the concept that roles lead to results and improved capabilities. That’s what we base our evaluations on. There are four job categories, differing in role characteristics and expectations. Evaluations and treatment are carefully determined so as to be fair to each of the occupational categories. Evaluations are based on growth from the mid-to-long range viewpoint with three points: 1) Results achieved; 2) Behavior in fulfilling job role and functions; and 3) Value behavior based on the corporate philosophy. In addition, there are “Programs to increase skills and knowledge,” “Self reporting of career development” and other programs aimed at increasing the capabilities of YKK people and advancing their careers.
